Dr. Richard Lawley is a board-certified physician in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) and Sports Medicine who joined Cornerstone in 2019. He focuses on non-surgical treatment for musculoskeletal injuries as well as concussion management.
Originally from Illinois, Dr. Lawley completed most of his training in the Chicagoland area. He attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign for his undergraduate education, majoring in Molecular Cellular Biology and Psychology. He received his medical degree from the Loyola Stritch School of Medicine in 2014 and completed his residency in PM&R at Loyola University Medical Center in 2018, where he served as the academic chief resident.
Dr. Lawley completed his training at Stanford University in the Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship Program, where he trained with leading experts in running medicine, orthobiologic interventions, and ultrasound guided procedures. He is a published author in multiple academic journals, has contributed to a book chapter, and has given several poster presentations at national conferences. His clinical interests include ultrasound guided procedures, running medicine, and regenerative medicine with orthobiologics.
When he is not in clinic or providing sideline coverage at sporting events, Dr. Lawley enjoys playing basketball and running on the beautiful Colorado trails.
