I visited Dr. Gallizzi in April of 2019 in Lone Tree for an ongoing issue with my cervical spine. I had some herniations, some narrowing of the foramen and degenerative disc disease at C4-C6. Fought surgery for 9 years until I found Dr. G! He is a top notch surgeon with a heart of gold! His entire staff is fantastic, but he and his PA Heather are an un unstoppable healing team! I went from being severely debilitated at just 45 to feeling like a kid again! They are caring, thorough, transparent and Dr. Gallizzi is the most gifted surgeon! He did an ACDF at those two levels and I could not be more pleased with my results. I am only 3 months post op today, so I still have more recovery for the full outcome, but I would recommend Dr. G to anyone needing spine surgery. I am moving out of CO, but if I ever needed spine surgery again, for another issue, I would not hesitate to fly back and recover in CO to have Dr. G and Heather on my side!read more

I cannot say Thank you enough for the wonderful job Dr. Possley and his staff did when they did a cervical fusion for me on May 9th of this year. From what my wife told me, they took extra time in the surgery to get things done; that did not show up in the scan. I have gone from taking three or four pain pills a day to none as of July 2nd when I began Physical Therapy. My health is improving and I have begun to lose weight as I have changed my eating habits. I don't have space to write about all the improvements made since the surgery; I will just say it is very significant. Thank you so much for all your help!read more

Dr. Blake Hines billed twice for the same services. My insurance paid his claim at his former location, then, because my orthotic inserts got lost in the mail, I was asked to pick them up at his new location, for which he filed a second claim for services that were already paid in full. I once gave this man 5 stars for his professional skills, but want to make it clear with respect to the filing of insurance claims, such practices though they may be “legal”...lack the necessary integrity and ethos that practicing professionals should emulate in our culture. It was disappointing to find out that he wasn’t such a great guy after all.read more

I had an appointment at the lone tree location and I was running a few mins late. I called and let them know when I would arrive and they said that was fine. I was 6 minutes away when I first called (total of 10 minutes late for my appointment). About 3 minutes later I get a call asking me if I am coming in for my appointment. I again say yes and am pulling into the medical complex as we speak. Then one minute later I get a call that the doctor got called out for an emergency surgery. Well I get a voicemail from his assistant later that day saying he had a lunch meeting that he had to get to and that's why he couldn't wait. So why not cancel me when I first call? Why call me to see if I'm coming in, just to call me a minute later as I'm literally parked in my car and cancel? All for something that was scheduled, no emergency. It seems like they should have rescheduled me days ago or whenever he scheduled his lunch meeting. Aweful patient care and a complete waste of my time.read more

The receptionist is the absolute work person to be in the position of patient intake. All they wanna know is about the insurance and not your care. The horrible service doesn’t seem to be minority, but these days who knows. I have insurance and was still treated poorly. The Doctors at this facility may be good, who knows but if they hire her then do the math..read more

As I sit here while waiting I had nothing better to do than review them based only on the fact that I have been waiting to see Dr Mann for 1 hour and 10 minutes. No one has checked on me or given me an update. I find it unreasonable to have a patient wait for over an hour for any doctor in particular without any explanation other than he is running behind.read more

I ruptured my achilles in October of 2016. Today, April 6th, I've gotten the full clear. Under 6 months recovery from one of the toughest injuries speaks for itself. But there's more. The entire staff from initial consult, through surgery and physical therapy, were amazing. Friendly, well spoken and just enjoyable to be around. I never once felt stressed "having to go to the Doc" ... If you're looking for orthopedic care, stop your search and go with Cornerstone. Dr. Backus is the definition of a consummate professional with an amazing personal touch. I could tell from day one that he was personally committed to my care even after my surgery. Thank you so much to you and your staff!!!read more

“First visit to this office. I liked the way the office was run. The assistant and Dr. Ocel were great. I love that you have a tablet to fill in your information. Much easier, and faster.” -Linda

Dr. Hsin was absolutely wonderful. As a veteran, I’ve become accustomed to terrible treatment at the VA for the past 6 years or so, and being able to get outsourced to a non-VA facility for my shoulder surgery was such a breath of fresh air. He was extremely professional yet had a great sense of humor, which made the dynamic a very comfortable one to be in. I hope I don’t break another bone, but if I did, he’d be my number one choice, hands down! Very approachable and detail oriented. I’m very happy that he was assigned to be my surgeon.” -Jadon

Dr. Wolf, Dr. Caballes, and the MAs were great. They took the time to listen and explain everything so I felt very comfortable with my treatment. The facilities were nice and I was seen promptly. I’m very happy with my overall experience and will be returning should I need any further care.” -Bryan

Dr. Weber and his team were awesome and the most professional staff I have worked with. They all have an Esprit de corps about them and I for one hope that others come and see them as I will recommend their services.” -Stephen H.

“Front office staff were very attentive and had a good sense of humor. In a medical facility, humor is a must because laughter is the best medicine! They set a great first impression.” -Jadon

“While on vacation, I tore my left rotator cuff getting luggage off of a carousel. When I went in for my first consultation at Cornerstone with a surgeon, I was barely using my left arm. I could not use my shoulder for any weight bearing activities. The surgeon I saw suggested that before we explore surgical options, I should see Dr. Caballes to discuss non-surgical options. Dr. Caballes looked at my injury and thought I would be a good candidate for PRP therapy, followed by physical therapy. He thoroughly explained the procedure and answered all of my questions. He explained the costs that my insurance would not cover, so there were no surprises. Compared to other PRP providers that I looked into, Dr. Caballes is substantially more affordable. He and his staff took great care of me and the day of the procedure went smoothly. The end result is that I have complete range of motion and no pain in my shoulder. I was able to return to weight lifting in the gym and gardening in the backyard. I got my shoulder back with no surgery.” -Luan

Dr. Gallizzi I’ve followed throughout the past few years. I would rather not have anyone other than Michael Gallizzi and Heather Duncan working on and with me.” -Christa

“I have been working in healthcare for over 35 years and have exceedingly high expectations for doctors and their team members. This was an excellent experience and I highly recommend Cornerstone Orthopaedics, Dr. Caballes, and their team. I am impressed by the non-surgical treatment options available and Dr. Caballes’ communication. I am all for conservative treatment and hope that is all I will need for quite some time.” -Susan

“Clean, efficient, well-managed practice. Kudos to your group. Docs who run on time are like unicorns – and to find one with a kind bedside manner AND skills – wow. Great job Cornerstone and Dr. Ocel.” -Anonymous

“Really awesome experience. After years of pain, I was finally properly diagnosed and given a treatment plan for my knee. I believe the problem was handled in one appointment! But, I do plan to see Dr. Weber again, hopefully he can help with my shoulder. I am very confident in his ability.” -Anonymous

Dr. Castro is an awesome surgeon. He tells you exactly what he sees with the injury and what exactly will help you. I have found with talking to Cornerstone staff, and the staff at the hospital that Dr. Castro only does surgery when it will benefit the patient and that is nice to find in a surgeon.” -Anonymous

“The Cornerstone staff explained everything very thoroughly and made sure that I knew the treatments were my choice, giving me reasons why they thought any particular action was the best way to go.” -Anonymous

Dr. Ciccone helped explain the extent of my injury and has helped manage my expectations on the recovery timeline, which is very important to me. Understanding the lengthy recovery timeline is important so I don’t expect a faster recovery than what is probable.” -Anonymous

Dr. Eickmann with the help of Erika Quane showed remarkable knowledge, experience and a deep sense of caring about their patients and their chosen area of surgery. They were kind and helped me relax by showing me not only professionalism, but a sense of humor that I truly appreciated. My quick recovery from my hip replacements (2 in 3 months) is without a doubt a direct result of Dr. Eickmann’s expertise in surgery and his dedication to providing the absolute best care he possibly can. I could not be happier with my surgeries and the care I received at Cornerstone. Thank you all… you have changed my life!” -Anonymous

Dr. Hsin has a calm and confident bedside manner. He thoroughly explained my injury and how it is treated. He smiled and looked at me while speaking to me. He used a sense of humor as well. He asked me questions about the accident and listened well.” -Anonymous

“I was referred to Cornerstone Orthopaedics by my primary care doctor for my knee surgery in May 2007. He had used Cornerstone for his shoulder surgery. I felt if my doctor trusts Cornerstone to perform his surgery, then I’d use them for my knee surgery. I had a very positive experience with my knee surgery in May 2007 and when I injured my other knee in August of 2010, I didn’t even consider using any other practice for my knee surgery and specifically asked for Dr. Mann, again.” -Anonymous

Dr. Ocel is warm, friendly, caring, and personable; he smiled a lot, and showed great enthusiasm over my progress. He has a fun sense of humor and took time to show and explain x-rays very thoroughly. He summarized my injury history, current status and future needs, and gave very helpful specific tips at specific stages (i.e. suggested driving with a flip-flop when the boot was removed…Great idea!). He was willing to be flexible and resourceful and to trust me when issues came up (i.e. replaced cast early with boot.. thank you! Thank you! – Worked out great!) I think the world of Dr. Ocel and admire his high level of quality expertise as well as the humanly/professional way with which he carries and presents himself.” -Anonymous
