As a veteran, I’ve become accustomed to terrible treatment at the VA for the past 6 years or so, and being able to get outsourced to a non-VA facility for my shoulder surgery was such a breath of fresh air. “While on vacation, I tore my left rotator cuff getting luggage off of a carousel. When I went in for my first consultation at Cornerstone with a surgeon, I was barely using my left arm. I could not use my shoulder for any weight bearing activities. The surgeon I saw suggested that before we explore surgical options, I should see Dr. Caballes to discuss non-surgical options. Dr. Caballes looked at my injury and thought I would be a good candidate for PRP therapy, followed by physical therapy. He thoroughly explained the procedure and answered all of my questions. He explained the costs that my insurance would not cover, so there were no surprises. Compared to other PRP providers that I looked into, Dr. Caballes is substantially more affordable. He and his staff took great care of me and the day of the procedure went smoothly. The end result is that I have complete range of motion and no pain in my shoulder.
