Our History
How Our Practice Began
In 1996, Dr. Joseph Hsin started Cornerstone Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine, P.C. with two Colorado locations: Lutheran Hospital in Wheat Ridge, CO and Avista Adventist Hospital in Louisville, CO.
Creating Our Story
Pictured is the original 1996 Cornerstone Orthopaedics logo, which was created by Dr. Hsin. A similar color scheme remains in our current logo. In the swirl, the black band represents the “C” in Cornerstone, the two brown/gold bands represent the “O” in Orthopaedics, and the silver band represents a silver lining.
Above was the first Cornerstone Orthopaedics logo created by Dr. Hsin in 1996.

Growth and Expansion
What started as a general orthopaedic practice evolved into a facility that caters to the specific needs of each patient, from pre-surgery to post-operative to rehabilitation. As a continuum of care and rehabilitation, we offer both physical therapy and occupational therapy at each of our locations in Superior, Wheat Ridge, and Westminster. We are excited to expand our practice south to the Lone Tree, CO area with a satellite office at Sky Ridge Medical Center.
