Biography

Heather joined Cornerstone Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine in the fall of 2018. She assists Dr. Michael Gallizzi in the operating room, as well as in the clinic setting. Heather is certified by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants and is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the North American Spine Society.

Heather completed her Bachelor of Science Degree in Exercise Science from Creighton University in 2008, where she was also a member of the Division I Women’s Soccer Program. She received a Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2010. Prior to working at Cornerstone Orthopaedics, she practiced in Orthopaedic Spine Surgery while in Omaha, NE, Hand and Upper Extremity in Kearney, NE, as well as in Dermatology in Grand Island, NE. In 2016, Heather moved to Denver, CO and returned to her roots in Orthopaedic Spine Surgery.

Outside of work, Heather enjoys spending time with her friends and family, being in the outdoors: hiking, running, biking and skiing, as well as attending music festivals and traveling.
