Biography
Dr. Eickmann attended medical school in Loma Linda, California on a WICHE scholarship from Montana. After completing his residency in orthopedic surgery at Loma Linda University, he further sub specialized in Adult Reconstruction by completing a fellowship at the prestigious Anderson Orthopedic Research Institute, in Alexandria, Virginia. During the fellowship Dr. Eickmann co-authored a book chapter in Insall’s ‘Surgery of the Knee’ on indications for constraint in total knee arthroplasty.
Dr. Eickmann’s research in unicondylar arthroplasty was presented at the interim knee society meeting and has been submitted for publication in the journal of bone and joint surgery. His research on backside motion in modular hip prosthesis was presented at the Orthopedic Research Society. For the past two years, Tom has served as a reviewer for Journal of Biomedical Materials Research and currently, he is in the process of designing a less invasive hip retractor with Innomed and also serves as a consultant for Medacorp. Tom and his wife Cherie have three wonderful children.
